Our Team

At Mewies Solicitors, we pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service. Our team is led by five directors, each with extensive experience and expertise in their respective fields. We have over 30 staff members operating from our Clifford House office in Skipton, where we've been established since 1960.

Our History

Our practice was founded in 1960 by Jack Mewies, operating from 100 High Street, Skipton, before rebranding as Mewies Solicitors in 2007. In 2011, we became QualitySolicitors Mewies, before transitioning to Mewies Solicitors Limited in 2017. Our historic office in Clifford House is a prominent landmark in Skipton and has been the birthplace of a former Chancellor of the Exchequer.
