Established in 1984 by Mrs. Suzette Newman, the firm has since grown to provide a wide range of legal services to both local and international clients. Our Team
Our team of legal professionals includes Osman Mekki, Jay Vara, Sarah Sohrabi, Akalpita Bhimrao Kulkarni, Salah Oueslati, Mohammed Khaled Hussain, Vakhar Hussain, Lothib Miah, Hannah Dowling, Marina Pavicic, Renika Droach, Farzana Azizi, and Yasmin Khatun. Osman Mekki has over 24 years of international experience in various jurisdictions, specialising in oil and gas transactions, dispute resolution, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, and corporate/commercial practice matters. Jay Vara has over 30 years of experience in private practice, specialising in offshore trusts, services for expatriates, and foreign clients setting up business in the UK.
Sarah Sohrabi, a partner and head of the conveyancing and immigration departments, advises on a range of legal matters. She completed her formal education in LLB in 2007 and trained within Newman Law Solicitors, becoming a Solicitor England and Wales in 2010.
