Our History

Robert Grayson, a native of Sheffield, qualified as a solicitor at the outbreak of WWI. Returning from France in 1919, he took a place with the firm at which he had done his training and subsequently set up in business on his own account in Figtree Lane on 1st December 1925. Robert was a sociable and cheerful man and he soon attracted a good client following. He remained a sole practitioner until after the WWII when his two sons qualified as solicitors and joined the practice. By the late 60's, when specialisation was the order of the day, the firm set out to expand.
